Nlsolarheating : Diameter of insulated solar piping Diameter-of-insulated-solar-piping-76.html en-us Tue, 28 Apr 2026 09:12:25 -0500 Diameter of insulated solar piping Diameter-of-insulated-solar-piping-76.html Tue, 28 Apr 2026 09:12:25 -0500 Message: hi i am writing for northern Ontario an would like to install and solar hot water  system  the solar collector would be on the roof of the sleep camp and the tank and pump in the main camp  the distance between in about 50 ft  Today,a backhoe will be digging a trench and was to bury 2 - four inch drainage coil with a rope inside to then next year pull the piping through the drainage pipe.  Is the outside diameter of the ss pipe and insulation less then 4 in in dia   thanks r labonte rlabonte@isys.ca

Roger yes eachs ingle solar piping is about 3" so your 4 inch pipe will be perfect.      Dan
