Message: Hi  We are looking at building an ICF home with full basement mainfloor approximately 1350 sq ft.  We would like to heat use solar for our hot water and a second loop for radiant in floor heat. We are a family of four. I was wondering what size system I would need, and in summer can the excess be again looped to a pool? I wouls also like to know the approximate cost the rquired system. Thank you Dave Patton

Dave, thanks for contacting us.  If you have a pool then you have the ideal set up for a complete solar thermal heating system as you have both a summer demand and winter demand.  I would suggest our SWH-4 solar pool heating package with a winter loop for yoour radiant floor heat and a 2nd heating loop that diverts to your pool in the summer.  As a ball park you are looking around 12 K for a complete systm with pool, home heat and domestic hot water before any grants and incentives. We have some great promotion on right now so if you are interested then give me a call and we can work up a simulation report that includes the design and performance of the recommended system.   my number is 1 800 317 9054 ext 221.   Thanks Dan Jung
